Indications

Mundisal is a soothing oral gel designed to relieve pain, inflammation, wounds, and ulcers in the oropharyngeal cavity. It is recommended for conditions such as aphthous stomatitis, herpes simplex, mouth ulcers, gum irritation, and discomfort caused by dentures. The gel is also suitable for inflammation and irritation related to dental prostheses and orthodontic appliances, including braces. Thanks to its targeted local action, Mundisal helps restore comfort and supports the natural healing process of the oral mucosa.

This oral gel is widely used for teething discomfort in babies and young children. It helps calm inflamed gums, reduce irritation, and provide fast relief during the eruption of primary teeth. Mundisal can also be used for minor injuries in the mouth, including bites, abrasions, or irritation caused by food or dental procedures.

Dosage and administration

Method of use: For local oral application.

Dosage: The dosage should be determined individually according to the patient’s needs. Apply approximately 1 cm of Mundisal gel directly to the affected area. The application may be repeated every 2–3 hours as needed. Do not exceed the recommended frequency of use. For children, especially during teething, the gel should be applied gently to the gums with clean hands or a cotton swab.

Fast-acting and effective relief

When applied locally, the active ingredient choline salicylate is rapidly absorbed through the oral mucosa and begins to provide analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects within approximately 5 minutes. The soothing effect lasts around 2–3 hours, reducing pain, swelling, and discomfort. Cetalkonium chloride acts as an antiseptic agent, helping prevent bacterial growth and supporting oral hygiene.
